Live captions for calls on Windows
Read every call as it happens, in any app. Helpful if you are hard of hearing, on a noisy line, listening to a strong accent, or following a call in your second language. Your own words and the other side are shown separately and clearly.
We need the integration live before the 14th of next month.
Understood. Which systems does it have to connect to?
Salesforce and our billing tool. Budget is approved up to 18,500 dollars.
Captions for any call app, not just some
Some meeting apps have captions, some don't, some only when the host enables them, and phone and WhatsApp calls usually have none at all. Call Transcriber shows live captions for any call your PC plays: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, WhatsApp, Skype, Discord, Telegram, Slack, Webex and phone calls through Phone Link.
Floating captions on top of your call
Turn on floating captions with the CC button, the tray icon or Ctrl+Alt+O, and a see-through window shows the latest lines right over Zoom, Teams, Meet or WhatsApp. You read along without switching windows, and it never takes the focus away from your call app.
- Colour themes (dark, light, midnight blue, high contrast) or your own colours, plus transparency, text size and bold text.
- Up to three copy buttons of your choice, such as the other person's last message or the last 10 lines.
- Let clicks pass through to the call window underneath; hold Ctrl to use its buttons.
- Drag it anywhere and resize it. It can open by itself whenever a call starts.
Who finds live captions helpful
- People who are hard of hearing and want to follow calls with less strain.
- Non-native English speakers who understand written English more easily than fast spoken English.
- Anyone on a bad connection, when words drop out or the audio is muffled.
- People in noisy places, or who need to keep the volume low.
- Anyone who wants to re-read what was just said before answering.
Comfortable to read
- Large, adjustable text (Ctrl+= / Ctrl+-), light or dark theme.
- Chat-bubble view that makes it obvious who is speaking, or a compact list.
- Or keep the main window small and always on top next to your call (compact mode).
- Scroll back at any time; the view jumps back to the latest line with one click.
Honest limits
Speech recognition is very good but not perfect: names, heavy background noise and people talking over each other can cause mistakes. The offline engine is designed for English; Hindi is available with slower models or your own cloud key. Try it free for 30 days to see how it works with your calls.
Try it on your next call
Free for 30 days, no credit card. Then $14 a year. Works with the call apps you already use.
